Home Training Course Corner PDI Assumption CEIP scientific culture

Today begins the course on interactive whiteboard in the corner Asunción Practice CEIP lasting of 10 contact hours (1 credit ECTS) and the remaining hours to complete the 25 will be of practical activities, assessments or work person. This is the Phase 2 the Training Plan for the integration of computers and interactive whiteboards and Primary Education aim is " make known the basics to encourage the educational use of the equipment that the Centers have received Plan as part of the integration of computers and whiteboards . " This phase consists of2 modules:
  • Module 3: Using the video-projector and interactive whiteboard
  • Module 4: Applications received didactic equipment (one computer per classroom and two interactive whiteboards per school)
The general content is going to work are
1. Principles of operation of the PDI.
2. PDI and Educamadrid Portal.
3. Sharing of resources through the Centre's network.
4. Types of POIs.
5. Tools for configuration, calibration and optimization of the PDI.
6. Programs for the generation of interactive educational content related to the PDI.
7. Programs for the generation of interactive educational content general.
7.1. Basic tools for the generation of hypertext documents.
7.2. Basic tools for generating association questionnaires and exercises.
7.3. Basic tools for image editing.
7.4. Basic tools for video editing.
7.5. Basic tools for editing audio.
8. Educational use of the PDI.
9. Digital repositories of educational content for IDPs.
9.1. Add Project.
9.2. Proprietary repositories.
10. Guidelines for the development of the teaching unit to be developed by the attendees.

This course where I'll be the rapporteur is provided through the Capital CTIF through ICT advice, being responsible D. Ricardo Fernandez and D. Center Coordinator Cristian Alvarez. The materials we use are available HERE .

hope the course will encourage participants to use the whiteboard with their students. At the moment, and I found some of my former students at another center and has good references, so it is always pleasant.

Scientific Expedition in the Gulf of Cadiz, with the help of INDEMARES

Next Month February 2011 we will conduct an oceanographic survey in the Gulf of Cadiz (INDEMARES GIRL-0211), in order to gain a more accurate one of the most unique habitats exist in the deep seabed seas and oceans. It is the habitat 1180 and codified by the NATURA 2000 Network , whose biodiversity is related to the expulsion of methane gas, a natural way, escaping from the seabed.



is well known that the Gulf of Cadiz lies in the surface layers of marine sediments, a significant amount of hydrocarbon gases (mainly methane, with lesser amounts propane and butane) . Oceanographic processes that operate forced by the dynamics of marine waters, facilitate the expulsion of methane to slow the water column. This triggers a complex biological mechanism that begins with the concentration of methane-eating bacteria, organized in consortia, which obtain energy from complex chemical reactions that break down methane. Taking this

bacterial activity, go to the site, a variety of species with high natural value, such as cold water corals and sponges, which are concentrated in places of issuance. Their study (using techniques such as the one shown in the video), knowledge of the structure of the communities that live fixed to the bottom, the relationship with demersal species and their distribution in the fishing grounds, are the specific objectives that will tackle this issue scientists led by the English Institute of Oceanography.
